A care effect is not achieved, at most a “good feeling on the skin”. Vegetable oils with their fatty acids have a much smaller molecular structure and can therefore really be absorbed by the skin. Provided the dosage is correct.

Even those who have oily facial skin can use oil. Provided that it is a mixture of so-called “dry” oils that are absorbed particularly well and quickly.

In the case of oily skin, the appropriate oil ensures that the skin produces less sebum by itself and regulates itself again.

The production of sebum and sebum is usually stimulated by matting or degreasing products such as alcohol-containing facial toner, drying make-up or matting powder, so that oily skin cannot regulate itself.

However, if you provide it with facial oil (“drying oil”), the skin slows down its production of fat and the pores become more refined.

Not every oil is suitable as a face oil. The aim should always be to use a little water to form an emulsion on the skin that brings water and fat into the skin at the same time and thus cares for both.

To do this, however, the oil must be able to be absorbed into the skin. How well an oil is absorbed into the skin depends on its fatty acids.

There are also vegetable oils that are very poorly and slowly absorbed and are therefore not suitable for facial care.

These include, for example, coconut oil and olive oil, which you can use to get a grip on heavily stressed areas such as feet, elbows and extremely dry skin.
