The use of normal soap often results in dryness or irritated skin. For this reason, we recommend that you make your own gentle,  moisturizing aloe vera soap with olive oil.

With it you can supply your skin with moisture and at the same time rid it of impurities.

In this post you will learn how to make the  moisturizing aloe vera soap, which can be used for the face, body and also for hand washing.

Benefits of aloe vera

Aloe vera contains a gel in its leaves that has valuable health-promoting properties and can be used both internally and externally.

Thanks to its soothing, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties  , aloe vera is used in numerous cosmetic products.

This plant moisturizes the skin without making it too greasy and is therefore particularly recommended for oily and combination skin. It is also an excellent choice for acne.

All of these benefits make aloe vera an excellent product for shower gels and shampoos.

Many already have an aloe plant at home because it requires little maintenance and is an excellent and very quick remedy for burns, wounds, etc.

Moisturizing Aloe Vera Soap – Benefits

More and more people are preparing their own hygiene and cosmetic products at home, because this way you know exactly which ingredients are used and you can try out different formulations that adapt perfectly to the skin.

In addition, you can do without  harmful ingredients such as synthetic perfumes, sulfates, parabens, etc., which are not good for the skin .

The recipe for the moisturizing aloe vera soap is suitable for all skin types and can be used by the whole family. You can also use essential oils to achieve specific effects.

  • Put on protective goggles and then carefully place the glass jar in the sink.
  • First pour the soapy water into the vessel, then the distilled water.
  • Be very careful when doing this to avoid splashes, which are corrosive.
  • Since the combination of these two ingredients causes a chemical reaction and fumes, you have to be very careful. Mix well and let cool.
  • Then it’s time to ventilate the room you’re making the soap in!
  • Then slowly heat the olive or coconut oil on a low temperature until it reaches around 40ÂșC. Then take it off the stove and mix it with the soapy water.
  • Be careful because this mixture is corrosive. Therefore avoid splashes and use old clothes, gloves and protective goggles!
  • Use the blender to stir this mixture until the color changes and then becomes a creamy mixture.
  • Then add the aloe vera and essential oils  (before the mixture cools down) and stir everything well again.
  • Then you can pour the soap into the molds and cover with a towel so that everything cools down slowly and the saponification can begin.
  • Then let the soap sit in the molds for between 12 and 24 hours.
  • Then you can take them out of the molds.
  • Keep the soap in a fresh, dry place to allow it to mature. You can then use the soap after a month and a half.

Precautions

We recommend that you use the lye with great care. Children and pets are not allowed to be present during this process.

Always use gloves and protective goggles, respiratory protection is also recommended, because the soapy water is – as already mentioned – very corrosive and toxic fumes are generated.

If you do get a splash on your skin, remove it immediately and apply a little vinegar.

Soap with glycerin and aloe

An easier way to make soap with aloe is to buy a bar of glycerin soap and heat it in a water bath until it melts. Then mix with the aloe vera.

Pour into a soap dish and let cool down. You already have a homemade aloe soap.
