How To Prepare Your Own Juice With Aloe Vera

It is important to prepare the juice immediately after cutting the leaves of the aloe vera, otherwise they will oxidize quickly and lose their positive properties.

How to make your own juice with aloe vera

Aloe Vera has numerous ingredients that improve our health. It is a plant best known for its healing properties on skin irritations when applied topically. Here we will show you how you can prepare your own juices with aloe vera.

But there is another interesting way aloe vera can be consumed and that is in the form of juice. But how can you prepare juices from aloe vera yourself?

Aloe juice helps in particular with intestinal problems,  because it regulates the intestinal passage, acts against heartburn and prevents diarrhea. At the same time, this drink supports the healing of intestinal and stomach ulcers.

Why should we prepare aloe vera ourselves?

Nowadays aloe vera is offered as a commercial product, but it is still advisable to use a homemade juice.

By preparing it ourselves, we ensure that it is a purely organic product that does not contain any artificial or chemical additives such as preservatives or flavor enhancers.

This is how the juice is prepared:

  • Use a sharp knife to cut off some (fleshy) leaves from the plant. Try to cut the leaves right on the stem without damaging the other leaves that are left on the plant.
  • First and foremost, cut off the side leaves with small thorns.
  • Wash the leaves carefully.
  • Remove the peel from the leaves and discard them.
  • Make sure you also remove the yellowish layer under the peel, as consuming this part can cause irritation, such as diarrhea or stomach upset. In addition, this layer tastes very bitter.
  • Keep only the crystals, which is the transparent, gelatinous substance that is inside the leaves.
  • Put the aloe vera gel in a blender or food processor, or mix it up with a hand mixer.
  • When preparing, add the juice of a citrus fruit.
  • Process everything until you get a homogeneous consistency.

You have to pay attention to the following:

  • If possible, prepare the juice immediately after cutting the leaves, as they begin to oxidize very quickly when they come into contact with the air .
  • Once the juice is prepared, it must be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container. The juice lasts up to a week, the earlier you consume it, the better its properties work.
  • If you wish, you can sweeten the juice with honey or another natural product.
  • As you can see, the processing of the aloe vera is very easy. You just need a little time and dedication to prepare.

If you have an aloe vera plant at home or if you are able to get one, don’t hesitate to make this wonderful juice yourself. It will help you feel good and will give you more energy to cope with your everyday activities better.
