  • 2-3 cloves of garlic, peeled
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 tablespoon of virgin olive oil (15 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon of salt (15 g)
  • a pinch of ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of wheat flour (15 g)
  • 1 cup of white wine (250 ml)

preparation

  1. Start by chopping onions, garlic, and carrots, then chopping them up as small as possible. Heat some olive oil in a pan and fry the ingredients that have just been cut.
  2. Once the onions and garlic turn golden in color and the smell gets stronger, move on to the next step.
  3. Now is the time to season with salt and a little ground pepper, before carefully mixing in the flour and sautéing it. Be careful not to create lumps of flour. This step is very important!
  4. Now you can deglaze with wine and turn the temperature down to a minimum. Then let it simmer for about 25 minutes.
  5. Finally, you can check that the sauce has thickened well and that there are no lumps. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a dash of water.

Instructions for the meatballs

Prepare Spanish meatballs quickly and easily

ingredients

  • 1 slice of bread, cut into small pieces
  • 1 onion, grated
  • 2 cups minced pork (200 g)
  • 4 cups ground beef (400 g)
  • 2 eggs, mixed together
  • 2 cloves of garlic, peeled and chopped
  • 3 tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese (45 g)
  • 2 sprigs of parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of ground black pepper (15 g)
  • 1 tablespoon of salt (15 g)
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil (45 ml)

preparation

  1. First of all, put the pieces of bread with the grated onion in a medium-sized bowl (that your hands can fit in).
  2. Mix and knead the bread and onion with your hands until the bread soaks up the onion juice.
  3. Now add both kinds of meat, the eggs, the garlic and the grated Parmesan and season with salt, pepper and parsley. Then knead everything well until you get an even, sticky mass.
  4. Then shape the meatballs: take a spoonful of the mixture and roll it between your hands. If the balls don’t hold together well, you can add a little flour.
  5. When you have used all of the mixture and formed all of the balls, heat the olive oil in a pan.
  6. Fry the meatballs in plenty of oil over medium heat until browned all over.
  7. Finally, you can serve them with the sauce on a large plate or in a baking dish.
