Far too often we allow ourselves to be influenced or pulled down by the opinion of others. It is time to learn to think and act for yourself!

Think for yourself and be confident

I’ve wasted a lot of time thinking about how I look and taking other people’s opinions too seriously. Now is the time to learn to think for yourself and to worry less about what other people think!

Often we make ourselves too dependent on the opinion of others and neglect ourselves to please others. We are afraid of not being loved,  but in reality this is just an excuse and shows a lack of self-esteem.

1. Feel good

You should worry less about how you look and care more about yourself. Not everything is always perfect, on the contrary:  relationship problems, stress at work or health problems affect our quality of life, even if we don’t want to admit it.

Perhaps you are afraid to admit that you are not doing so well and still try to go through life smiling. Because what could the others think? 

But don’t forget: others have problems and worries too, life is not perfect. You have to accept that and you are allowed to admit it. Finding perfect happiness can be frustrating! You lose so much valuable time in the process that you become dissatisfied.

Don’t let yourself be influenced by others,  thinking for  yourself is much more likely to bring you to your goal. You have to feel good about yourself and do things that are fun and fulfilling for you. What the others think about it is not important.

2. Let old thoughts go

Do not cling to thoughts and things that have nothing to do with you. Learn to let go and let your thoughts go. 

You are what you believe Your attitudes and beliefs define you. But when you feel like you’re not living up to your own expectations and beliefs, that’s frustrating too.

Set priorities, take time for yourself, take care of your own well-being. You don’t have to constantly think about what others expect of you, you have to think for yourself  This is the only way to find satisfaction and contentment in your life.

3. Leave your own expectations behind

There are things that we have already learned in childhood and that shape us.  Maybe you’ve always been criticized for your verbosity and that’s why you don’t talk a lot now. You may still remember phrases like “don’t laugh” or “be quiet”, or places that seemed scary to you.

But now you are responsible for your own life. You have to think for yourself and find out what you want and where your goal should lead. 

4. Accept yourself and you will be accepted

If you feel like others are judging you, if you always want to perform perfectly to please others, then you should pause and ask yourself what you actually want. Only when you  accept yourself will others accept you as well, just as you are.

You no longer feel happy in your relationship, but you don’t dare break up because you are afraid of what others might think or say. Ask yourself what you really want and don’t look at what others think about it. 

Be decisive and don’t worry about what others think of it. Nobody cares, and least of all you are interested in yourself. Your goal is to think for yourself . You have to take control of your life yourself. Don’t let false beliefs or fears guide you. It is your life!
